One Easy First Lesson Toward Raising Independent, Happy Children

In my opinion, the key to raising independent kids is to teach them responsibility and accountability. Obviously, you can’t go up to a two-year-old and say, "Listen, Alex, today you will be responsible for cleaning your room and if it is not clean, I will hold you personally accountable for it!"
