Catching Animals…Like Bees

Ok. This is going to be a short post, but something I find the need to share with everyone.

Is this wierd? My boys are into catching bees.

I’ve warned them of the possible dangers and they insist that they won’t get stung. So they walk around my backyard trapsing through my black-eyed susans, hunting for bees. They tell me that they want to start a collection of insects and small animals that they will display in their playset clubhouse. They are hoping to charge a fee for people to witness the incredible collection. They started making a sign. Their “business” is called Safari Lodge”. They certainly have creative imaginations!

avatar Sounds to me like they have quite the healthy imagination. They are taking something they like to do (catching bugs) and making it into a business. Young entrepreneurs. I would encourage them and ask to be their first customer when they are ready.

Paying For Pages

By Kirsetin Morello, of Hip Moms Guide

“Studies show that if you reward people for doing an activity, they often stop doing it for fun; being paid turns it into ‘work.’” So says Gretchen Rubin in her runaway bestseller, The Happiness Project. She even mentions reading. “Parents, for example, are warned not to pay children for reading—they’re teaching kids to read for a reward,” she says, “not for pleasure.”
