Master Cleanse
After 4 pregnancies, I felt it was time for a cleanse. Since I'm trying to loose the last 30 lbs. to get to my pre-baby weight, I thought a good old detoxification would do my body some good.
Of course I did some research on the subject, talked to my people and found a lot of different responses. While a few people had done a cleanse, many had not or vowed they would never. Among those who had, several had done the Master Cleanse or also called the Lemonade Diet. I like lemonade, so I wanted to learn more.
Basically, you make a batch of yummy lemonade (fresh lemons, maple syrup, water and cayenne pepper). It honestly delicious. So you make a fresh batch for each meal and whenever else you feel hungry. For 10 days.
On Monday I started, and also ended. Yep. Big willpower. You know how much I love coffee right? I didn't have any because the diet doesn't allow for it and boy oh boy did I ever feel terrible. I was seriously suffering from caffine withdrawl. I guess I drink more than I thought. I had sweats, felt nausious, had a headache and thought I'd throw up at least 2 times tht day. So I ate oatmeal and took some tylenol then went to play tennis. Still had the headache, but felt better having eaten.
Then on Tuesday, I realized how many darn lemons i still had, so I decided to embark on the cleanse once again. I've been on since - a whopping 2 days.
It's incredible actually, because I feel amazing. No hunger, lots of energy. I wouldn't believe this if someone told me.
